Children and adults of all ages are welcomed through our doors and treatment methods are selected based on age, circumstance and developmental level. Individual, family and couples therapy are all provided. When appropriate, and with an individual’s permission, Dr. Lanham will interface with other health care providers, family members and educators in order to provide a broad “treatment coalition” that will help an individual or family achieve their identified goals. We understand that the process of advocating for a child’s emotional, cognitive or academic needs can be overwhelming and it is not unusual for Dr. Lanham to attend school meetings to facilitate this process. Among the issues we can address are:
Academic Difficulties

TESTING can provide valuable information that can be used to guide treatment and select accommodations to address an individual’s academic performance, behavior and emotional adjustment. Often, testing can provide the insight critical for a “breakthrough,” shedding light upon the nature of an issue that has eluded individuals, educators or health care providers.
The first step in initiating testing services is to discuss, in depth, the issues that are at hand. In doing so, Dr. Lanham will meet with an individual, couple or their parents for one or more sessions in order to obtain a full background related to the area of concern. Based on the information provided, a battery of tests will be selected that can capture all the pertinent information necessary to determine the cause of the problem and inform possible solutions or accommodations. Too often we have seen a very narrow battery of tests administered. While slimmer testing options can often identify the existence of an issue, the range of cognitive/social/emotional abilities assessed is not broad enough to pinpoint what the cause of the problem is. At our office, we strive to cast a wide net, assessing all the pertinent domains of cognitive/social/emotional functioning at once so that an individual walks away from the evaluation with accurate information about what is occurring and a plan to address it. We frequently work with families to convey the results to schools and other health care providers. You are not alone in this process.
In order to make our testing services affordable to all who need them, we offer a range of payment plans to accommodate an individual’s financial needs. Among the issues we can address are:
Academic Difficulties and Dropping Grades
Traumatic Brain Injury
Concussion
AD/HD
Executive Dysfunction
Emotional Adjustment/Personality
Forensic Assessment Following Head Injury
Disability
Dementia
